Academics & Activities

UPrep offers a growing number of IB and AP courses including calculus, biology, environmental systems and societies, theory of knowledge, spanish literature, theatre, dance, and film.

Additionally, all seniors in the IB program will complete a 4,000 word senior thesis that will engage them in critical, independent research and writing.

IB takes a holistic portfolio approach to education, allowing students to demonstrate their knowledge through in-class projects and papers, as well as end of course assessments. IB also provides students with a range of academic choices, so students can tailor their classes and activities to suit their interests and future career aspirations.

Students will be able to graduate with 24 college credit hours accepted at any public Texas university.

All KIPP San Antonio alumni – whether they completed 8th or 12th grade at a KIPP San Antonio school – are supported by the KIPP Through College team.

Extracurricular activities vary by campus and include volleyball, soccer, basketball, baseball, softball, running club, ballet, choir, band, flag football, cross country, dance team, cheerleading, yoga, Jiu Jitsu, chess club, robotics, Gay-Straight Alliance, yearbook, fitness/wellness programs, and photography.
